DESERT MOUNTAIN REAL ESTATE NAMES NEW SALES EXECUTIVE

Sam Buford has rejoined Desert Mountain Real Estate as a sales executive.

Desert Mountain Real Estate is the full-service, on-site real estate company for the prestigious Desert Mountain, a private residential and recreational community in north Scottsdale.

Buford, who was originally part of the Desert Mountain sales team from
1995-2001, brings more than 30 years of luxury real estate experience to the position.

Most recently, he was involved in premier property sales in Scottsdale as well as Sedona. His career in residential real estate started in California with the award-winning Aptos Seascape, a collection of ocean front home sites and luxury condominiums. 

Buford also created 4 Seasuns Properties, located in Aptos and specializing in ocean front home and site sales. A brokerage referral arrangement made 4 Seasuns the top performing out-of-state brokerage firm for Sunriver, Ore.

In addition to real estate, Buford’s career extended to the technology sector having worked in sales and marketing for Apple Computer, Sun Microsystems and IBM in Northern California following his 1972 graduation from the San Jose State University Business School.

Buford is a board member of The Ecumenical Chaplaincy for the Homeless, an organization that aids Phoenix-area homeless people in replacing their lost or stolen IDs as a way to help them off the streets.

A private pilot for 35 years, he and his wife, Sue, have lived in north Scottsdale for 12 years and have been Desert Mountain members since 2003. They have three adult children, Betsy, John and Jenny.
