This year, CARE funded five groundbreaking cancer research projects focused on some of the most urgent challenges in cancer care today.
HonorHealth Research Institute
Advancing Treatments for Rare Cancers
Researchers are unlocking the biology behind rare cancers such as uveal melanoma and sarcomas to identify new treatment targets and develop more personalized therapies for patients with limited options.
Understanding Early-Onset Colorectal Cancer
With colorectal cancer increasingly affecting younger adults, this research aims to identify early warning signs, improve prevention strategies, and help detect cancer before it becomes life-threatening.
Mayo Clinic Arizona
Improving Immunotherapy for Multiple Myeloma
This project focuses on making breakthrough immunotherapy treatments safer, more effective, and longer lasting for patients battling multiple myeloma.
Stopping Melanoma Brain Metastases
Researchers are studying why melanoma spreads to the brain and how treatment resistance develops, with the goal of improving survival and quality of life for patients.
Overcoming Immunotherapy Resistance
This innovative research explores new ways to help the immune system better recognize and attack kidney, prostate, and other cancers that currently resist treatment.
Together, these projects represent exactly the type of bold, innovative research that CARE was created to support—research that has the potential to change lives.

A Celebration of Champions Fore Cancer Research
On March 29, the clubhouse parking lot was transformed into an unforgettable evening featuring live music, exciting auction and raffle experiences, and a heartfelt celebration of our shared commitment to cancer research.
29th Annual CARE Golf Tournament
The following day, golfers enjoyed a beautiful day on the course filled with friendly competition, camaraderie, and a common purpose—funding life-saving cancer research. We even had Alice Cooper and Whiskey Lizard band members join us on the course.
