Chef Bertrand Bouquin
Hailing from Burgundy, France, Chef Bertrand is responsible for the extensive offerings and menus at all of Desert Mountain’s 10 restaurants and grills. The James Beard Foundation Award-nominated Chef Bertrand has been honored with the highest French distinction as a Maître Cuisinier (French Master Chef), cooked on The Today Show and the USS Conway, and served as the Executive Chef at the luxurious Broadmoor resort in Colorado Springs, where he garnered a Mobil 5 Star rating and AAA 5 Diamonds rating for one of the restaurants in just three years.
In his continued efforts to refine the cuisine available throughout Desert Mountain, Chef Bertrand is passionate about ensuring each restaurant on the property is as authentic and unique as its culinary origins. Additionally, he is proud to note that many of his elite, 80-cook staff come from all over Europe and South Africa, creating a wonderfully rich diversity in the kitchen.

Host to many of our largest Member gatherings, the spacious Cochise/Geronimo Clubhouse serves up panoramic desert views and a variety of distinctive dining experiences, from lively themed dinner events in the main dining room to al fresco breakfasts and laid-back lunches at The Range House.

Polish off spa days at the Sonoran with this café’s all-natural menu. Place your order at the counter and sit wherever you please with your choice of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, which include fresh fruit smoothies, poke bowls, whole wheat flatbreads, and “build your own” salads.

On the go and ready to serve, the Mountain Chef makes appearances at Food Truck Fridays on our ranges and surrounding our Clubhouses. It can also be rented by Members for private neighborhood events, with customized cuisine for any occasion.
