Desert Mountain has officially been certified as a 2025 Great Place to Work®, marking our fourth year in a row receiving this recognition. It’s not just a badge or a title – it’s a reflection of the culture we’ve all built together.
Part of Desert Mountain’s mission statement is to engage our Teammates and integrate our core values into all aspects of the Club. We make it a priority to invest in our people – from leadership development and recognition programs to fun events, volunteering opportunities and real support behind the scenes. These aspects along with an organically built culture that is welcoming to all validates the results from our Great Place to Work® Certification™.
“This year’s results are something we’re really proud of,” said Wes Pudwill, Director of Talent & Culture. “We’ve worked hard to build a place where people feel welcomed and appreciated, no matter their role. And that shows up not just in survey results, but in how our teams treat each other and take care of our Members every day.”
We saw two major wins this year: a record-breaking 93% participation rate in the survey, and an increase in our overall “Average of All Statements” score from 81% to 83%. That score reflects satisfaction across all areas, from communication and teamwork to leadership and support. Even better? Every single category improved this year.
So what does it all mean? People are noticing the effort we’re putting in, and they trust us to keep building on it.
“This recognition shows our Team believes in what we’re doing,” Pudwill said. “They know we don’t just collect survey results, we take action. Each department uses the feedback to create goals, check in throughout the year and make real improvements.”
We’ve also continued to improve our benefits program like tuition support, scholarships, mentorship programs, top-of-the-line health insurance and even a free onsite medical clinic. But in the end, the biggest reason we’re a Great Place to Work is our people.
“Every decision we make puts our Team first,” Pudwill added. “When you pair that with a culture that people actually enjoy being part of, it’s easy to see why Desert Mountain continues to grow and thrive.”
