About the Championship
Desert Mountain Club is honored to host the 11th U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship in 2026.
What is the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball?
The U.S. Amateur Four-Ball is a national championship organized by the USGA for amateur golfers competing in teams of two.
Championship History
Established in 2015, the championship replaced the U.S. Amateur Public Links and is held at top golf courses across the country. It promotes elite amateur competition in a team setting and has a counterpart event for women. Learn more about U.S. Amateur Four-Ball History here

Playing Format
Played in a four-ball format, each golfer plays their own ball, and the team’s score on each hole is the lower of the two. Both players must have a USGA Handicap Index of 5.4 or lower. The event begins with 36 holes of stroke play, after which the top 32 teams advance to match play.
