Spring Bash: An Unforgettable Evening Under the Stars
Every year, Desert Mountain Members eagerly anticipate the Spring Bash, the Club’s biggest party of the season. This high-energy event transforms the Cochise/Geronimo Clubhouse grounds into a spectacular outdoor concert venue, welcoming over 1,000 Members. Each year is a new theme, and Members always bring out their best and dance the night away to live music by nationally acclaimed bands and even some special guest appearances. In past years, members of legendary bands like Boston, Chicago, Kool & the Gang, and Lynyrd Skynyrd have graced the stage.
2026 will promise to bring another lively evening. Las Vegas headliner, Patrick & the LVB, will bring their high-energy style of classic and modern day favorites to the Desert Mountain stage for Neon & Nectar, a night that be aglow in neon in a festival-like atmosphere.
With music, dancing and plenty of laughter, this bash truly kicks off spring with style.
Tee Off at Premier Golf Events
As one of the top golf clubs in Scottsdale, Desert Mountain is best known for its seven golf courses. Each spring, the courses add another level of attention with some of the largest private club Member golf tournaments in the country. Each one is uniquely designed to enhance the competition while still giving way for the joy of golf:
- Men’s and Ladies’ Spring Member/Member: The best Members team up to be crowned the best of the Member duos in this four-ball match play style format.
- Mountain Magic Women’s Member/Guest: Featuring a fun, themed finale (like this year’s pink-clad “Barbie” party), the ladies never fail to bring their A-game in this three-day, three-course event.
- Mountain Mania Men’s Member/Guest: As the largest Member/guest tournament of its kind in the U.S. (nearly 700 Members and their guests signed up in 2025), this year’s event will channel the thrill and nostalgia of “G.I. Joe” across five of the Club’s courses.
- Sunshine Shootout Couples Tournament: Every May, couples team up to find out which household has the best golfers at the Club.
Music, Outdoors and Activities Beyond the Greens
Desert Mountain isn’t just for golfers. Music lovers gather regularly for events like the Concert on the Lawn at Outlaw Clubhouse, and Music on the Mountain, nightly live music that accompanies delicious dining at any of the Club’s 10 restaurants.
With all the blooms that occur during the spring, getting out into nature is the perfect way to experience what life is like in the Sonoran Desert. Desert Mountain boasts The Ranch, a private wilderness of 33 acres that covers 25 miles of private hiking trails. This area gives Members an incredible, unique space to relax and take in the beauty of the natural landscape. Planned hikes to other areas like the Adero Canyon Ridgeline Trail or McDowell Mountain Regional Park give Members opportunities to further explore off property.
The kids always have something to do, as well. Notably, the Spring Family Carnival takes over the Sonoran Clubhouse with carnival games, bounce houses, a petting zoo, face painters, egg hunts and many prizes for kids to win. This event always brings out smiling faces over the Easter weekend.
